**About the Role**

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Director to lead our IT Audit team in ensuring the effectiveness of our payment systems and network. As a key member of our Audit function, you will be responsible for developing and executing audit strategies, leading audit teams, and providing expert advice to senior management.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement audit strategies to ensure the effectiveness of our payment systems and network, including proactive monitoring for changing risks and necessary coverage approach changes.
  • Lead and execute audits associated with controls and governance processes for Capital One, including supervising audit teams and engagement managers.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with key business leaders and audit partners, leveraging specialized knowledge and skills to provide management with insight into their area of subject-matter focus.
  • Identify emerging risks and trends in areas of focus related to global payments networks and present them to internal and stakeholder management.
  • Review engagement planning documentation and audit programs to ensure adequate coverage of risk and sufficient rationale for audit scope.
  • Effectively review and compile relevant, material findings and recommendations into readable and concise audit reports, communicating complex results and implications to stakeholders.

**Requirements**

  • Strong knowledge of payments network operations and ecosystem-related risks, as well as risk management and regulatory expectations for a large financial institution.
  • Proven experience in leading audit teams and developing audit strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on adding value to the organization.
