Role Summary:
The Director of Business Growth will oversee the entire business development process, focusing on initiating, negotiating, and finalizing commercial agreements with both emerging and established technology firms, particularly in the realms of payment infrastructure and fintech.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete business development cycle, from deal origination to execution, emphasizing partnerships within the fintech and payment sectors.
  • Engage with both local and international technology and fintech communities to identify potential collaboration opportunities and lead outreach efforts.
  • Design and implement customized partnership frameworks in collaboration with Visa's global and regional product leaders and relevant internal teams.
  • Co-create market entry strategies, pinpointing opportunities to leverage Visa's products and solutions for mutual benefit.
  • Assist local teams in negotiating and finalizing agreements with fintech partners.
  • Act as the primary liaison between partners and internal stakeholders for ongoing account discussions.
  • Build and enhance ecosystem relationships to boost preference for Visa's offerings, including leading thought leadership initiatives.

Work Environment:
This role is hybrid, requiring employees to work both remotely and in the office 2-3 days a week, depending on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8 years with an Advanced Degree, or 3 years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
  • Interest in the fintech and digital commerce sectors.
  • Extensive experience in business development, product management, or partnership management.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the fast-paced environment typical of startups.
  • Resilience and capability to work independently in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Strong desire to drive business success.
  • Familiarity with fintech language and metrics.
  • Knowledge of banking and fintech regulations.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Team-oriented and entrepreneurial approach.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.

Additional Information:
Work Hours: Varies based on departmental needs.
Travel Requirements: This position may require travel 20-25% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This role will be performed in an office environment, requiring the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
