About the Role

RSM US LLP is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our growing Healthcare team in the Southeast or Northeast regions of the United States. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving growth and expansion of our professional services within Hospitals & Health Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute a sales strategy to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the healthcare industry, including systematic prospect targeting and development of opportunity-specific sales strategies.
  • Prospecting and Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare industry leaders, professionals, and organizations to identify potential business opportunities and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, including forecasting and tracking of sales opportunities, and ensuring timely and effective communication with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Proposal and Presentation Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality proposals and presentations to clients, showcasing RSM's expertise and value proposition.
  • Closing Deals and Client Management: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions, and ensure timely and effective closure of sales deals.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales and business development, with a proven track record of success in selling professional services to healthcare organizations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including its trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Networking and Relationships: Established network of contacts within the healthcare industry, including C-level executives, professionals, and organizations.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA: Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Industry Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as HFMA, HIMSS, or ACHE.
  • Community Involvement: Active involvement in healthcare industry associations and community organizations.
