Position Overview
This role requires the Financial Project Specialist to collaborate with Autodesk Consulting Project Managers and Delivery Managers on the fiscal oversight of Autodesk-led consulting initiatives.

The Financial Project Specialist will partner with the Project Accounting Manager to provide updates on project progress, escalations, and revenue acknowledgment against projections.

This position will also assist with various ad hoc projects as necessary.


Key activities include Quarter Close Disclosures, monitoring project expirations, engaging with Worldwide Project Managers to verify deferred revenue balances, ensuring revenue is recorded in accordance with Revenue Accounting ASC606 standards, and managing revenue in relation to forecasts.

Flexibility to overlap some hours during critical periods with other locations will be essential. Additionally, this position will support consulting projects based in the Americas.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly/monthly meetings with assigned Project Managers to assess projects, review forecasts, and notify PM and Management of any risks to meeting projections.
  • Oversee Project Setups and Updates through our PSA system and SAP Accounting system.
  • Analyze revenue and reconcile against forecasts.
  • Provide consistent updates to the Project Accounting Manager regarding revenue, risks, or non-standard agreements.
  • Prepare formal Revenue Accounting Deal Review documentation.
  • Manage General Ledger Account Reconciliations.

Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess over 8 years of experience in finance.
Experience with SAP S/4 and Business Objects is preferred.
Proficient Excel skills are required.
A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is necessary.
Prior experience in a high-tech organization with a global presence is preferred.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, as well as independently.
Attention to detail, accuracy, resourcefulness, analytical skills, and follow-through are essential.
Capability to complete projects and reports within established deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
Must be adaptable to a dynamic environment and be self-directed.

Salary Transparency

Salary is one component of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we anticipate a starting base salary between $76,500 and $132,000. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we emphasize annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
