Position Summary
The Senior Project Controls Specialist is tasked with overseeing financial compliance and reporting within the TDIP Program. Accountability for accuracy is paramount, and experience in a contracting environment will be beneficial for navigating complex financial scenarios.

Role Responsibilities
The Senior Project Controls Specialist will primarily focus on monitoring and forecasting project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and relevant procedures. This role involves leading sessions on cost forecasting and risk analysis with various stakeholders, including LAWA, design teams, and contractors. The Specialist will also oversee compliance with contract management processes and maintain engagement with project teams regarding commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitating financial audits and providing necessary documentation to auditors.
  • Ensuring project teams adhere to Prolog processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Preparing and maintaining reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the TDIP Steering Committee.
  • Managing project budgets, ensuring alignment with approved financial plans.
  • Controlling costs through diligent oversight of payments and financial reporting.
  • Implementing change management processes to ensure compliance and proper documentation.
  • Identifying and managing risks associated with the TDIP Program, maintaining risk registers in collaboration with project teams.

Technical Proficiency
Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam, with familiarity in Project Management Information Systems. Experience with CAD or REVIT is advantageous.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess a minimum of 20 years of experience, ideally within airport project environments, and have a proven track record in managing project controls teams. Experience with large-scale projects exceeding $50 million is essential, along with knowledge of various project delivery methods.

Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Additional certifications such as AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, or AICP are considered beneficial.

Flexibility in work hours may be required, including the possibility of working beyond standard shifts or on varying schedules.
