Role Summary:

This role serves as a pivotal office administrator, executing advanced clerical, secretarial, and organizational tasks while providing essential support to the Department Chair of Business and the Program Director of Construction Management. As the College of Business undergoes future reorganization, the Administrative Coordinator will adapt to support the Chairs of various departments and the Director of General Business Programs. This position is crucial in facilitating communication between the department(s), faculty, students, and the public.

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to the Department Chair(s), Program Director, and faculty members; manage schedules; assist with classroom allocations; collaborate on advising and Degree Works; oversee budgets; handle procurement, invoices, and receipts; maintain inventory and equipment; and liaise with faculty and students as necessary. Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors; manage office communications; respond to inquiries; and draft official departmental communications while maintaining electronic records. Prepare program announcements regarding job opportunities, scholarships, and events. Interpret and clarify policies and procedures, addressing issues or complaints as required. Facilitate additional student support as needed. Ensure the maintenance of all accreditation documentation and annual reporting, including the formatting and drafting of essential documents, and the upkeep of the document repository for all programs, particularly for Construction Management. Gather and report data for ACCE and AACSB accreditation. Offer related support by training and supervising student employees; coordinate luncheons and special events; manage reimbursements; and provide technical/software assistance and training. Organize and oversee program events such as job fairs and orientation sessions. Communicate with industry organizations and maintain departmental filing systems by updating files with new information; retrieving and securing personnel files; ensuring confidentiality; and adhering to guidelines for the destruction of sensitive information. Provide administrative support to faculty members; organize meetings; and prepare meeting minutes. Manage the CM Lab effectively. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the departments and programs. Key Competencies:

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in all MS Office applications. Familiarity with university systems and processes. Experience with LU computer systems such as Banner, Cardinal Purch, Argos, Degree Works, Dashboard, AdAstra Scheduling, Chrome River, Smartsheet, etc. Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform various physical tasks, including sitting, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing, and walking between buildings. Work Environment:
