Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant II to serve as the receptionist and switchboard operator for the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services' Regional Administrative Services.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet clients and visitors, answer general questions, and provide information about the department's services and policies.
2. Answer and route calls, referring callers to appropriate staff members or resources as needed.
3. Perform administrative tasks, such as typing correspondence, monitoring requests, and assigning work tasks, to support the Regional Administrative Services team.
4. Sort and distribute incoming mail, and prepare outgoing mail for dispatch.

Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office software.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
4. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 pounds.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, working a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, using initiative and independent judgment to complete tasks and resolve issues.
