We are seeking qualified part-time instructors for the Computer Information Systems program at NorthWest Arkansas Community College. A pool of qualified candidates is required to teach in the following areas:
* Computer Programming
* Computer Networking, including Cisco courses
* Web Design
* Microsoft Office Applications

Position Overview

  • Prepare instructional materials and presentations.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and strategies to explain subject concepts.
  • Develop and share a classroom management plan with students.
  • Provide classroom instruction, demonstrate skills, assess student progress, and correct any unsafe or ineffective techniques.
  • Use Success Planner to monitor daily attendance.
  • Meet deadlines for reporting and grading.
  • Maintain grade documentation.

Compensation: $765 per credit hour

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in leadership roles within a community college or educational institution is advantageous. Demonstrated teaching proficiency is the highest priority. Instructional and leadership experience at a community college is preferred. Familiarity with online platforms is essential. Experience or interest in online instruction, technology integration for teaching, project-based learning, service learning, or inquiry-based learning will be given special consideration.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a Master's Degree in the relevant field at the time of application (or a Master's degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in business). A minimum of three years of teaching experience is preferred.
