NWACC is currently seeking qualified candidates to create a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors in the field of Criminal Justice. Applications will be retained for the fiscal year. When a vacancy arises, the hiring department will evaluate the applications. At the conclusion of each fiscal year, applications will expire, necessitating a new submission to remain in the applicant pool.
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to students.
- Utilize a variety of effective strategies to enhance student learning.
- Encourage active participation and discussions among students.
- Maintain accurate records related to class activities.
- Communicate with students regarding classwork and assignments when they are absent.
- Stay updated with current knowledge in the field.
- Assess student assignments promptly and provide feedback on their progress.
- Exhibit a willingness to incorporate current and emerging technologies in both classroom and online teaching.
- Contribute to the academic department and college through typical adjunct faculty responsibilities.
Compensation: $765 per credit hour
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related discipline.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology to fulfill job responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
The work environment typically presents moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made to assist individuals with disabilities in performing essential job functions.
While fulfilling the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to:
- Manipulate items with fingers, including keyboarding.
- Engage in sitting, standing, and walking activities.
Additionally, the employee must possess close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and extensive reading.
