Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified part-time instructor to teach in the Computer Information Systems program at NorthWest Arkansas Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering instruction, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Course Preparation
- Develop and prepare course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to engage students and promote learning.
- Instructional Delivery
- Deliver instruction to students in a classroom setting, utilizing technology and other resources as needed.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students.
- Classroom Management
- Develop and implement a classroom management plan to promote a positive and productive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure student safety.
- Communication
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Respond to student inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- Education
- A minimum of a Master's degree in the field or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in business.
- Experience
- Three years of teaching experience preferred.
- Skills
- Experience with leadership at a community college or educational institution is a plus.
- Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority.
- Ability to use an online platform and deliver instruction in a variety of formats.
