We are currently seeking qualified candidates to build a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors in the fields of History, Philosophy, Political Science, or Geography, based on their area of expertise. The selected instructors will be responsible for teaching college-level courses in their respective disciplines.
Applications will be maintained for the fiscal year. When a teaching opportunity arises, the hiring department will review the applications on file. After the conclusion of each fiscal year, applications will expire, and candidates must reapply to remain in the applicant pool.
Compensation: $765 per credit hour.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Master's Degree along with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in their discipline. Previous college-level teaching experience is required.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
Experience in leadership roles within a community college or educational institution is advantageous. Demonstrated teaching proficiency is the highest priority. Instructional experience and leadership roles at a community college are highly valued. Candidates should be adept at utilizing online platforms for instruction. Experience or interest in project-based, service learning, or inquiry-based learning methodologies will be considered favorably.
