Position Summary
NWACC is seeking qualified candidates to create a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors in the fields of History, Philosophy, Political Science, or Geography, based on the applicant's area of expertise. The selected instructor will be responsible for delivering college-level courses in their designated discipline.

Application Process
Applications will be maintained on file for the fiscal year. When a vacancy arises, the hiring department will review the existing applications. Please note that applications will expire at the end of the fiscal year, and a new application must be submitted to remain in the applicant pool.

Communication
NWACC primarily uses email to communicate with applicants. If an email address is not provided, candidates will need to log into the system to receive updates regarding their application status.

Work Schedule
Positions are available during days, evenings, and weekends. It is important to note that part-time roles are not immediate hires; they serve as a resource for departments to address their immediate instructional needs.

Compensation
The pay rate is $765 per credit hour.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the relevant discipline.
  • Experience in college-level teaching.

Skills and Competencies
Preferred qualifications include experience in leadership roles within a community college or educational institution. Demonstrated teaching proficiency is essential. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with instructional experience and leadership roles at a community college, as well as those proficient in online teaching platforms and technology integration for instructional purposes. Experience or interest in project-based, service learning, or inquiry-based learning approaches will also be valued.
