Job Summary

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Art Appreciation courses. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Art or Art History and experience teaching at a community college.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Art Appreciation courses to students at NWACC
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Art or Art History
  • Experience teaching at a community college
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in Art History or Studio Art
  • Experience with online learning management systems
  • Knowledge of project-based, service learning, or inquiry-based learning
Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to noise and repetitive motion.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include frequent sitting, standing, and walking, as well as constant hearing and talking.
