With significant growth in the workers' compensation and casualty insurance sectors, they collaborate with major insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and employers to deliver expert medical opinion services for injured individuals.

The network of this organization comprises invitation-only, fellowship-trained medical doctors, selected based on their esteemed reputation, training, extensive experience, and contributions to academic research, among other rigorous criteria. They maintain a 75% exclusivity rate with their contracted physicians. Their offerings span across seven primary specialties and sub-specialties, including Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, and Radiology.

The role of this individual is to foster support and expansion for existing clients while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and securing new contracts. This individual will manage strategic accounts within a designated portfolio, collaborating with other key team members to promote growth and enhance program structure from established referral-based clients through the systematic adoption of the organization's products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management/Client Success (65% of role)

  • Establish and nurture key client relationships, building trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and implement account management strategies to enhance market presence and drive utilization and sales with current clients.
  • Create comprehensive business plans to achieve revenue and referral objectives.
  • Analyze and refine existing business development processes to establish a scalable and repeatable sales approach among contracted clients.
  • Effectively leverage subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to enhance the sales process and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their needs and ensure product adoption.
  • Travel frequently to meet with contracted clients to promote the utilization of services.
  • Provide professional post-sales support to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure successful implementation of new client programs.

New Business Development (35% of role)

  • Identify new sales opportunities through networking and convert them into long-term partnerships.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and participate in conferences and trade shows, preparing strategic outcomes for each event.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract finalization, including product presentations, negotiations, and customer implementation activities.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience and success as a Business Developer, Account Manager, or in a similar sales/customer service role (5-7 years minimum).
  • Strong understanding of the Workers' Compensation and Disability Insurance markets is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional skills in customer success, effective implementation, and sales negotiation principles.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce/Hubspot).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Enthusiastic and driven, with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
