Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to oversee and manage our daily accounting operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting, while also engaging deeply with our broader financial landscape and partnering closely with our Operations and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage Accounting Operations: Oversee and manage the accounting side of payroll, including the preparation of 1099 reports.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing: Play a key role in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  • Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Prepare, review, and post a variety of journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, amortization, depreciation, reclassifications, etc. Conduct detailed account reconciliations and collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Finance teams to address and resolve discrepancies.
  • Financial Reviews and Analysis: Actively participate in financial reviews in collaboration with Regional Directors of Operations and the Director of FP&A.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline daily accounting activities and support the auditing processes, enhancing efficiency and compliance.
  • Compliance and Governance: Maintain adherence to GAAP and ensure all accounting practices reflect compliance standards.
  • Strategic Insights: Engage in continuous improvement projects, providing financial insights and solutions that help shape the strategic direction of Mint House.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in accounting, with substantial exposure to general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience in applying accounting principles to complex transactions.
  • Skills: Proficiency in NetSuite or similar enterprise financial systems. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Results-oriented, with a strong ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
