To achieve this ambition, we are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead innovative initiatives in Procurement Cost Engineering. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a transformative team.
We are in search of a skilled Senior Procurement Manager, Cost Engineering, who will be responsible for advancing cost engineering strategies across various procurement categories, including construction, material handling equipment, and capital expenditures.
Key Responsibilities:- Formulate the procurement cost engineering strategy and establish should-cost benchmarks for diverse procurement categories.
- Drive change management by implementing new cost engineering and design-to-cost methodologies within the procurement department and with suppliers.
- Employ costing techniques and software tools to develop precise cost models in partnership with category managers, engineering, and construction teams.
- Support tender preparations and evaluate supplier proposals, while devising negotiation strategies from a cost engineering viewpoint.
- Ensure supplier proposals are consistent with 'should cost' benchmarks and facilitate negotiations for cost reductions through technical evaluations.
- Provide insights on cost implications of specification modifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to uncover product innovations and opportunities for cost enhancements.
- Develop and refine specification templates in conjunction with category managers.
- Establish cost engineering KPIs and scorecards to assess and challenge supplier performance.
- Supply cost data to inform management decisions.
We are considering candidates for this role to work from various locations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:- 5+ years of experience in program or project management.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management.
- Proficiency in utilizing data and metrics for decision-making and process enhancements.
- Proven track record in program strategy ownership, end-to-end delivery, and reporting to senior leadership.
- 2+ years of experience in implementing process improvements.
- Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, or related fields.
