Job Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Fisheries Engineer to enhance our fisheries and eco hydraulics division. This role demands a blend of technical acumen and leadership capabilities to drive projects in various sectors including Water Supply, Dams, Hydropower, and Transportation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in business development, focusing on project proposals, client relations, and strategic marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and leadership in water resources, hydraulic, and fisheries engineering, leveraging over 10 years of experience.
  • Utilize advanced 1D/2D/3D hydraulic modeling techniques to facilitate the planning and execution of water resource initiatives, including:

stream rehabilitation, fish passage solutions, fish behavior analysis, screened surface water intakes, complex culvert and bridge designs, and floodplain management strategies.

  • Lead a team to effectively inform design processes through a comprehensive understanding of hydraulic modeling mechanics.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Washington.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project), GIS, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS and SRH-2D.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading engineering teams to successfully deliver water resource projects.
  • A network of contacts or a portfolio of clients in regions such as Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, California, New York, New Hampshire, or Maine.
