Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer to contribute to our projects. This role demands a robust technical foundation to execute engineering assignments, guide team members, and operate autonomously with limited oversight. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of staged industrial initiatives and outstanding communication capabilities.

Essential Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Creation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Instrumentation sizing for industrial control systems
  • Specification of control valves and regulators
  • Design of infrastructure for industrial communication and control networks
  • Development of detailed control design and configuration documentation
  • Engagement in Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instrument engineering for both capital and maintenance projects
  • Manage project timelines and financial resources
  • Draft construction scope of work documents
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on deliverables
  • Supervise a team of engineers and designers
  • Establish relationships with suppliers and clients

Educational Background & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering
  • 8-25 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas sector
  • Preferred: ISA or TUV certification in Functional Safety

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to work in heavy industrial environments
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Significant experience in front-end project development
  • Basic knowledge of DCS and/or PLC programming
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and designers
