POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is accountable for the daily and strategic oversight of IT Compliance processes at Universal Parks and Resorts. The position leads various initiatives related to compliance and business continuity, transforming conceptual ideas into actionable implementation strategies, and overseeing compliance and business continuity projects that adhere to standards such as PCI, CCPA, HIPAA, and others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as a subject matter expert in IT Compliance matters. Oversee the administration and upkeep of policies and procedures to ensure effective compliance management for all relevant IT regulations. Develop and monitor systems and management processes for compliance reporting and remediation, ensuring ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, Security, Internal Audit, and IT teams, to define, develop, and document compliance-related business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications for various projects and activities. Manage IT Compliance and Business Continuity project teams, including the creation and maintenance of IT Disaster Recovery plans. Conduct regular audits and reviews of compliance and business continuity processes to ensure alignment with mandated service levels, leading resolution teams to address any compliance issues. Work closely with the Change Management process and relevant parties to ensure compliance with SOX, PCI, and Internal Controls, minimizing risks associated with changes in the IT production environment and reporting any non-compliance situations. Actively engage in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to established policies, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities. Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Significant experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in a Compliance role that encompasses strategy definition, process implementation, project management, and vendor/contract management. Familiarity with the hardware/software compliance lifecycle, including regulations such as PCI, HIPAA, and SOX; ITIL Foundations certification is preferred. Experience in IT Business Continuity planning, particularly in IT Disaster Recovery. A solid understanding of IT system platforms. Extensive experience in process documentation is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge and experience with applicable data security, compliance, and privacy laws. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, with the capability to conduct research into software-related issues and products. Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
