Position Summary:
Regal Boats is in search of a dedicated and experienced EH&S Manager who possesses a robust understanding of safety and environmental regulations within the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will oversee safety initiatives, ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards, and promote sustainable practices throughout our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development:
  1. Lead the formulation, execution, and upkeep of safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA regulations.
Inspections and Audits:
  1. Assess work environments for potential hazards, identifying health, safety, and environmental risks; develop risk assessments and propose corrective measures.
  2. Conduct safety and environmental audits, pinpointing potential hazards and suggesting remedial actions.
Training and Development:
  1. Facilitate safety training sessions for employees, highlighting proper procedures and the significance of safety compliance.
  2. Conduct safety orientations for new hires and manage special projects as needed.
  3. Promote awareness of safe practices and instruct necessary skills for safe operations.
Incident Management:
  1. Collaborate with various teams to investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, developing strategies to avert future occurrences.
  2. Proactively work to prevent safety-related incidents.
Regulatory Compliance:
  1. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA regulations, adapting safety practices as necessary.
  2. Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability across the organization.
  3. Ensure that work environments are safe and that employees adhere to safety protocols.
  4. Assist in securing necessary regulatory permits and submitting reports to relevant agencies.
  5. Ensure team members are equipped with the appropriate tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) for safe operations.
Environmental Sustainability:
  1. Oversee and manage environmental sustainability initiatives (air permitting, waste reporting, etc.).
  2. Identify opportunities to reduce the company's environmental impact and support eco-friendly initiatives.
  3. Advise on matters related to environmental compliance and sustainability.
  4. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of three years of experience in a safety leadership role within the manufacturing sector (marine industry preferred).
  2. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and NFPA regulations.
  3. Excellent communication skills for effective training and interaction with all levels of staff.
  4. Proven ability to investigate incidents, analyze data, and propose practical solutions.
  5. Experience in developing and implementing environmentally sustainable practices.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
  7. Conversational English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Professional certifications in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) or environmental management (e.g., CEM, CEP).
  2. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  3. Experience working with regulatory agencies and auditors.
  4. Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to drive change through innovative solutions.
  5. Effective project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives concurrently.
  6. Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that a team member must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods. The team member must frequently climb into and out of boats using stairs and lift up to 50 pounds. The role may require working 10-hour days, primarily on foot, and may involve planned or unplanned overtime.
