Position Overview:

GFL Environmental is seeking a dedicated Regional Manager of Environmental Compliance to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing and ensuring adherence to all environmental compliance measures across various facilities. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with GFL's policies and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee environmental compliance operations for multiple facilities, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met through systematic monitoring and reporting.

• Collaborate with facility management teams to guide them on compliance and permit obligations, utilizing GFL's compliance tracking systems effectively.

• Foster relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submissions and responses to any inquiries or changes in regulations that may affect operations.

• Conduct training sessions for operational staff on compliance protocols, GFL's policies, and permit requirements.

• Manage environmental projects in collaboration with third-party consultants, focusing on compliance and regulatory adherence.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in environmental management and compliance.

• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, including RCRA, CERCLA, NPDES, and others.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with environmental management software systems.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

• A proactive approach to identifying compliance risks and implementing necessary controls to mitigate them.

Travel Requirements:

• This position requires travel within the designated region to oversee compliance activities across multiple sites.
