Overview:
As a Research Compliance Coordinator, you will play a vital role in overseeing ongoing human subjects research initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing project renewals and amendments, while providing essential administrative and regulatory support to your designated team and Institutional Review Board (IRB) members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of active research projects to ensure adherence to current regulatory standards and institutional policies.
- Evaluate Investigator Progress Reports, study protocols, grant submissions, and consent documents submitted for ongoing review.
- Collaborate directly with researchers to gather any missing information necessary for board review, acting as a liaison between the board and investigators for required revisions.
- Process minor amendments to active projects for board or expedited reviewer assessment.
- Coordinate with other offices, such as the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and Central IRB, while managing reports generated from these departments.
- Notify the regulatory compliance manager of any potential noncompliance issues.
- Stay informed about current federal and state regulations, as well as institutional policies regarding human subjects research.
- Maintain training records for investigators and manage the departmental website, facilitating agreements and reviews with external IRBs, and preparing meeting minutes and correspondence.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compensation:
Hourly Salary Range: $33.80
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications.
Work Environment:
This position is categorized under Clerical & Administrative roles and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
