Role Overview:
As the Operations Manager with a Compliance focus, you will undertake a dual responsibility of assisting our COO with operational duties and supervising Medicare compliance. Your key role will involve ensuring that all Medicare-related documentation adheres to state and federal regulations, while also contributing to the overall operational effectiveness of the agency. This position requires a candidate with a robust background in operations management and compliance, coupled with exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strategic thinking capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Oversight:
- Assist the COO in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient and seamless workflows.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance business processes and support operational objectives.
- Manage projects and initiatives that drive the agency's overall success.
- Work alongside the COO to formulate and execute operational strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Compliance Oversight:
- Review and validate marketing or promotional materials to ensure compliance with Medicare regulations.
- Provide expert advice on Medicare compliance issues and collaborate with internal teams and external clients.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into all business operations.
- Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise Medicare materials, ensuring they follow approval protocols with our clients.
- Act as the primary liaison for clients during the audit process, ensuring smooth and timely execution.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of compliance activities and reports.
- Serve as the main contact for external audits and regulatory inquiries, providing thorough support and coordination.
- Conduct risk assessments and periodic reviews to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Collaborate with the marketing director to manage external regulatory and enforcement actions, including data requests and audits.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management and/or Medicare compliance, including familiarity with regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and audit processes.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CMS regulations and guidelines related to Medicare.
- Proven ability to oversee and enhance compliance programs while managing operational responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the capability to develop and implement training programs and manage investigations and corrective actions.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a collaborative environment.
