Procurement Specialist

The Arkansas Government Job is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for conducting competitive bid processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct competitive bid processes by writing bid specifications, preparing bid requisition documents, and analyzing submitted bids.
- Process requisitions and invoices, contact vendors, and assign or secure purchase order numbers.
- Maintain vendor files and update data as needed.
- Communicate with accounts payable to ensure proper payment of invoices and perform assigned accounting duties.
- Provide technical customer service support to other departments and employees regarding purchasing and the purchasing system software.
- Enter data into complex databases and systems and develop queries to gather information and prepare reports.
- The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Four years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
