Procurement Specialist

Position Overview:
Insight Global is looking for an innovative and detail-oriented individual to take on the role of Buyer for one of our prominent manufacturing partners. The Buyer will play a crucial role in managing order placements while enhancing processes and protocols to bolster procurement strategies, including maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), capital projects, raw materials, and external processing.
This role will act as the business unit's subject matter expert, particularly in relation to a new ERP system, facilitating purchasing transactions, reporting, and analytical tasks.
Essential Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited institution
- Proficient in utilizing ERP systems for purchasing, accounts payable, or accounts receivable, along with reporting and data analysis
- Experience in process documentation and improvement methodologies
- Background in customer or supplier relationship development
- Strong commitment to safety and active participation in safety initiatives
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in a procurement capacity within a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with D365 software
- Knowledge of inventory procurement, planning, and control processes
- Experience in production planning and scheduling on the shop floor
- Understanding of how procurement planning can influence profitability
- Experience in a greenfield or startup environment
