Key Responsibilities:
- Support employees in procuring goods and services, prioritizing cost-effectiveness and ensuring compliance with college-wide contracts.
- Maintain partnerships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality products.
- Oversee inventory levels and restock the college supply room as necessary to prevent shortages or surpluses.
- Maintain accurate records of all assets owned by the college, including their location, condition, and value.
- Conduct an annual physical inventory to rectify any discrepancies.
- Provide training to employees on procurement procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Experience with inventory and asset management.
- Experience in using a procurement card and understanding related regulations.
- Accuracy in data entry and maintenance of records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, procurement, and inventory management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work experience involving familiarity with Virginia State procurement regulations, eVA, PeopleSoft, and/or comparable systems.
