Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist departments in acquiring goods and services, focusing on cost efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to established contracts across the institution.
  • Cultivate relationships with vendors to guarantee prompt delivery and superior quality of products.
  • Manage inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed to avoid shortages or excess.
  • Keep precise records of all college assets, including their status, location, and valuation.
  • Conduct annual physical inventories to resolve any inconsistencies.
  • Provide training to staff on procurement processes and tools.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Background in purchasing, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in inventory and asset oversight.
  • Familiarity with procurement cards and associated regulations.
  • Strong accuracy in data entry and record maintenance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively, demonstrating accountability and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with Virginia State procurement regulations and systems such as eVA or PeopleSoft.
