Infrastructure Automation Engineer

System One is in search of an Infrastructure Automation Engineer for a full-time, permanent role. This position is essential for enhancing our operational capabilities.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance or currently hold an active Secret Security Clearance.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Infrastructure Automation Engineer will take charge of:
- Identifying, implementing, and continuously refining the complete suite of development tools.
- Focusing on automation for build and deployment processes to support Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD).
- Collaborating closely with software development and IT operations teams to ensure alignment of development tools and infrastructure with business objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Design, implement, document, and advocate for best practices in tools and methodologies that enhance software development, testing, and deployment efficiency.
- Manage and implement development systems tools for source control, versioning, build orchestration, and test automation.
- Automate deployment processes to guarantee swift and reliable code deployment across various environments, including virtualized and containerized settings.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing among team members to uphold best practices and foster innovation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the development toolset, identifying issues and opportunities for enhancing system performance, stability, and security.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- A background or degree in Computer Science or IT Administration.
- Extensive experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, along with a solid understanding of Agile best practices, including the software development lifecycle, CI, and CD.
- A commitment to developing robust and efficient development systems.
- Strong experience in configuration management, including managing packages, patches, and software configurations across diverse platforms.
- Proficiency in build and deployment automation, source control, versioning, CI, and CD.
- Current Security+ certification is highly desirable, along with Linux+, Network+, and other relevant certifications.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
