Position Overview

The role involves a variety of engineering tasks that require a comprehensive understanding of various engineering disciplines and their interdependencies. You will be responsible for designing and analyzing electrical systems for AGVs, employing a mix of industry standards and internal protocols to solve engineering challenges. Independent studies, analysis, interpretation, and system testing both at the factory and on-site will be part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain automated control systems.
  • Program and configure Allen Bradley, PLC, HMI, and Siemens technologies.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and debugging to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
  • Perform system maintenance tasks and upgrades as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project completion.
  • Develop detailed designs and integrate electrical/electronic systems and components.
  • Support subsystem and system integration and verification activities.
  • Conduct Systems Engineering tasks, including requirements definition and electrical architecture development.
  • Research, plan, design, and evaluate electronic and electrical systems.
  • Prepare and approve engineering drawings.
  • Participate in technical reviews and contribute to internal and external discussions.
  • Utilize advanced modeling and analysis tools for product specifications and verification procedures.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities and recommend design approaches for new or improved products.
  • Provide engineering consultation to other technical teams.
  • Analyze design specifications and documentation to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

General Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial automation systems.
  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, PLC, HMI, and related technologies.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and debugging electrical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

Specific Skills:

  • Electrical experience (5 years required).
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with low and high voltage power distribution.
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment for verification.
  • Controls experience (5 years required) with Rockwell, Beckhoff, Siemens, and related systems.
  • Software proficiency in Python, Rockwell Studio 5000, Step 7, and TIA Portal.
  • Experience in system design and hardware selection.
Additional Information

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring occasional commuting to a designated office. Work schedules will be determined based on business needs.
