As an Infrastructure Automation Engineer with a focus on Containerization and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), you will be instrumental in delivering essential containerization and IaC functionalities to a dedicated team working on a major software initiative.

  • Facilitate the automation requirements of the development pipeline for building and deploying applications.
  • Oversee the environment that supports Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools.
  • Engage with software development and IT operations to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Streamline deployment processes for swift and dependable code releases.
  • Employ Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible for software deployment and system development.
  • Adhere to best practices for source control, versioning, testing, and deployment of IaC scripts and tools.
  • Utilize containerization technologies including Docker and VMware Tanzu, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of container management.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to containerization efforts to enhance system performance, stability, and security.

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive experience with DevOps tools and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in Ansible for configuration management and software deployment.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Tanzu across various applications.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adjust messaging according to the audience.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • A background in Computer Science or IT Administration.
  • Preferred certifications: Security+, Linux+, Network+, etc.
