Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to develop and refine conveyor control strategies and automation frameworks.
  • Create and update electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for intricate control systems.
  • Write, test, and troubleshoot PLC code utilizing Ladder Logic and Structured Text (ST).
  • Deliver technical expertise in controls and electrical engineering, ensuring effective integration of automation technologies.
  • Oversee on-site commissioning, which includes field wiring, diagnostics, and system verification.
  • Be prepared to travel up to 30-40% to assist with project execution and commissioning activities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or at least 3 years of experience in control systems engineering and PLC programming.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming on Rockwell Platforms (Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000) is crucial.
  • Hands-on experience with material handling systems such as conveyors, sorters, and MDRs is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with high-level programming languages like Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW is beneficial for advanced control engineering tasks.
  • Understanding of graphical programming languages such as Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram (FBD) for control systems.
  • Competence in AutoCAD for schematic design and electrical documentation.
  • Experience with VFDs, PLCs, Remote I/O, Barcode Scanners, and communication protocols such as Ethernet IP, DeviceNet, and Profibus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30-40% for on-site commissioning and troubleshooting support.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in PLC programming and control systems engineering.
