Position Overview

System One is in search of an Infrastructure Automation Engineer for a full-time, permanent role. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our development ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Take charge of identifying, implementing, and refining the complete suite of development tools, emphasizing automation in build and deployment processes.
  • Utilize principles of the Software Development Lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and other DevOps practices to inform their approach.
  • Collaborate closely with software development and IT operations teams to ensure that the tools and infrastructure align with organizational objectives.
  • Design, implement, document, and advocate for best practices in tools and methods that promote efficient software development, testing, and deployment.
  • Manage systems tools for source control, versioning, build orchestration, and test automation.
  • Automate deployment processes to facilitate quick and reliable code deployment across various environments, including virtualized and containerized settings.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing among team members to uphold best practices and foster innovation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the development toolset, identifying areas for enhancement in system performance, stability, and security.
Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • A background or degree in Computer Science or IT Administration.
  • Extensive experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, alongside a solid understanding of Agile best practices, including the software development lifecycle, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
  • A commitment to building robust development systems.
  • Strong expertise in configuration management, including managing packages, patches, and software configurations across diverse platforms.
  • Proficiency in build and deployment automation, source control, versioning, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
  • Current Security+ certification is highly desirable, with Linux+, Network+, and other relevant certifications being advantageous.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
