PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Human Resources Operations Coordinator is responsible for inputting transactions into the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system and generating necessary departmental reports. This position collaborates closely with the HR and Operations teams to monitor and report on key HR and Operations metrics such as absenteeism, turnover rates, and employee referrals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately input data (including employee self-service entries and rehire statuses) and transactions (such as job changes, promotions, demotions, transfers, and Mass Pay Adjustments) into the Workday system or other databases, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legal requirements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees, corporate HRIS, and plant leadership regarding inquiries related to Workday data, transactions, and system functionalities.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in data entry or missing information as needed; escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collect, monitor, and compile data for essential HR and Operations metrics reporting (including headcount, absenteeism, turnover, and employee referrals) and distribute this information to relevant stakeholders promptly.
  • Manage the Trumpia or other messaging systems for the location.
  • Oversee the unemployment claims process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is submitted and accurately entered into the relevant systems.
  • Provide training to supervisors and managers on the functionalities of the Workday HCM system as required.
  • Verify I-9 documentation, ensuring compliance with right-to-work regulations, and certify I-9 forms for new hires while recertifying as necessary.
  • Complete and validate WOTC section 2 for all new hires.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
  • Adhere to and promote all safety initiatives, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas, contributing to a culture of zero accidents.
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. It is an individual contributor position requiring competencies in Functional/Technical Skills, Action Orientation, Problem Solving, Learning Agility, and Interpersonal Skills.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a human resources setting; familiarity with HCM systems such as Workday is highly desirable.
  • Proficient computer skills, with the ability to utilize various Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, with a capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others, demonstrating tact, discretion, and a high level of confidentiality in all matters.
  • A self-motivated individual who exhibits initiative and urgency, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Comply with and ensure adherence to departmental and company safety policies and programs.
  • Utilize required protective equipment in all mandatory areas.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including holidays, weekends, and/or extended shifts as required by business needs.
