Job Overview

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a driven inside sales professional to convert pre-qualified leads into meaningful customer interactions. This role is characterized by a high volume of activity and a fast-paced environment, ideal for individuals with a strong inside sales focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential clients by following up on generated leads.
  • Assess leads and articulate the types of services or products available.
  • Collect information regarding customer requirements and assist them through the estimation process.
  • Utilize design software to prepare estimates, collaborating with drafting and engineering teams as necessary.
  • Stay updated on Building Codes and standard company drafting and engineering practices.
  • Calculate accessory pricing using provided pricing tools or vendor websites.
  • Deliver sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Guide potential customers through the company website to enhance their understanding of available products.
  • Input and maintain prospect information in the designated computer database.
  • Follow up with clients to clarify requirements, confirm receipt of quotes and marketing materials, assess satisfaction, address inquiries, and identify opportunities for further sales.
  • Understand customer needs while processing orders and inform them of necessary details for purchase orders.
  • Provide pricing and job detail information to the order processing team.
  • Respond to engineering or drafting requests requiring clarification or modifications.
  • Generate change orders as needed to clarify or adjust orders prior to delivery.
  • Monitor drafting timelines and communicate estimated delivery of drawings to clients.
  • Relay any special delivery requests to the logistics department and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct a final review of files once drafting is complete to verify details and ensure all changes have been implemented.
  • Offer post-sale customer support.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in roofing sales or building/construction product sales is preferred.
  • Prior inside sales experience in a high lead volume environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Dynamic.
  • Basic math and computer proficiency are essential.
  • Experience in a dynamic sales environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
