Job Overview

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a dynamic and driven Inside Sales Consultant to transform pre-qualified leads into meaningful customer interactions. This role is characterized by a high volume of activity and requires a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential clients by following up on generated leads.
  • Assess and qualify leads while articulating the services and products available.
  • Collect information regarding customer requirements and assist them through the estimation process.
  • Utilize design software to prepare accurate estimates, collaborating with drafting and engineering teams as necessary.
  • Stay updated on Building Codes and company drafting and engineering standards.
  • Calculate accessory pricing using vendor-provided pricing tools.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Guide clients through the company website to enhance their understanding of our offerings.
  • Input and maintain customer data in the company’s database system.
  • Follow up with clients to clarify requirements, confirm receipt of quotes, assess satisfaction, and address any concerns.
  • Understand customer needs thoroughly while processing orders and inform them of necessary details for purchase orders.
  • Provide pricing and job details to the order processing team.
  • Respond to inquiries from engineering or drafting teams regarding job clarifications or changes.
  • Prepare change orders as needed prior to product delivery and ensure timely returns.
  • Monitor drafting timelines and communicate estimated drawing delivery to clients.
  • Relay any special delivery requests to the logistics department and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct a final review of files post-drafting to verify accuracy and compliance with orders.
  • Deliver exceptional post-sale customer service.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Preferred experience in roofing sales or sales of building/construction products.
  • Experience in high-volume inside sales is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Dynamic.
  • Basic math and computer proficiency are essential.
  • Experience in a fast-paced sales setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
