Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign tasks to restaurant personnel and oversee their performance
  • Maintain an adequate inventory and order supplies as necessary
  • Manage customer reservations
  • Coordinate shift coverage when staff members are unavailable
  • Assist team members in resolving work-related issues
  • Monitor daily financial transactions and performance
  • Reconcile the cash register at the end of each shift
  • Collaborate with suppliers during food deliveries
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and address any complaints professionally
  • Open or close the restaurant as required
  • Communicate pending tasks to the next shift supervisor
  • Identify maintenance and training needs

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Shift Supervisor or in a similar capacity within the food service sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, including reservation and payment management
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends
  • Basic knowledge of financial record-keeping
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle complaints with professionalism
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Effective team leadership skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from a Culinary School or Hospitality Program is advantageous
