The Chief Financial Officer will lead the financial strategy of the organization and oversee all aspects of the accounting functions, including General Accounting, Commissions Accounting, Job Accounting, Budgeting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Reporting, Treasury, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax, and Insurance.


Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate closely with the Executive and Management teams to strategize for growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and optimize operational processes.

Supervise a small team of finance and accounting professionals.
Delegate and manage the responsibilities of team members, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional development.
Oversee daily accounting operations and month-end closing activities, including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
Analyze and interpret financial records, reports, and statements, communicating insights to management.
Monitor all company credit card expenditures and ensure timely payments on credit accounts. Conduct regular expense analyses and audits.
Manage commission calculations, records, and reporting.
Oversee draw allocation accounting and maintain draw balance reports.
Supervise project/job costing and accounting entries, conducting project/job P&L audits.
Coordinate the organization’s financial planning and budgeting processes.
Ensure the preparation of timely financial statements, activity reports, forecasts, and annual budgets.
Guarantee compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international reporting standards.
Review financial details from historical, current, and projected operations; identify opportunities for improvement and development.
Manage all aspects of treasury operations, including monitoring bank balances, preparing wire transfers, modeling cash flows, and planning cash utilization.
Work with tax advisors to provide necessary information for tax filings.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of organizational procedures, internal controls, federal and state regulations, accounting standards, and insurance compliance.
Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
A minimum of ten years of professional experience is required.
At least five years of relevant experience is necessary.
CPA designation is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed.
Self-motivated with the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong financial modeling and data analysis capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and specialized accounting software.
