As the Chief Executive Officer, you will oversee multiple campuses across Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead and promote a diverse and pluralistic Jewish community on campus, reaching out to students from various Jewish backgrounds and interests.

Direct strategic planning initiatives with the Board, managing financial obligations within the approved budget.

Build and maintain relationships with campus departments, religious organizations, and the broader community.

Strengthen connections between Minnesota Hillel and the global Hillel movement, as well as other national programs.

Review financial reports regularly and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's financial health.

Collaborate closely with the Development Associate and Major Gifts Office, guiding the development team and crafting strategies for annual fundraising efforts.

As necessary, sustain relationships with major donors, community partners, and grant-making organizations.


Leadership & Development:
Inspire, nurture, and mentor a professional team that promotes inclusivity, pluralism, and student leadership development.

Ensure that staff members have a solid foundation in Jewish education and practices.

Foster a positive workplace culture, delegate effectively, and support staff in their personal and professional growth.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Board and committee members.


Stakeholder & External Relations:
Unify and cultivate community while establishing a culturally rich Jewish environment for students.

Understand the unique culture of Minnesota Hillel, identify partnership opportunities, and engage with Board members and potential leaders.

Work in collaboration with campus organizations to enhance student engagement across various programs and platforms.


Student Engagement:
Create a welcoming community that encourages student leadership and personal development.

Ensure strong partnerships with other religious organizations on campus.

Provide personalized mentorship for students on their Jewish journeys.

Guarantee that Hillel serves as a safe space for students, addressing antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiments on campus.

Promote an inclusive culture that embraces all expressions of Jewish religious practice.


Qualifications:


Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity within a Jewish or secular nonprofit, higher education, or related sector.

A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Demonstrated success in strategic planning, team leadership, financial resource development, stakeholder engagement, and fostering pluralistic Jewish life.

Exceptional executive leadership with strong visionary and strategic abilities.

An entrepreneurial mindset, readiness to take calculated risks, and a willingness to learn from experiences.

Capacity to create an environment for diverse perspectives and ensure all student voices are acknowledged.

Creative problem-solving skills and an inspiring presence.

Strong relationship-building abilities and comfort in working with diverse populations.

Proactive communication and collaboration across various offices and agencies.

Expertise in discussing Judaism and Israel in an approachable manner.


Compensation:
Competitive salary within the nonprofit sector, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package, including a 403(b) retirement plan, long-term disability insurance, paid vacation/sick leave, and parental leave.
