Position Overview

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Role Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be instrumental in shaping the financial direction of ONE AMERICAN BANK. This leadership role is accountable for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting functions, ensuring the integration of all financial systems, including core banking and loan servicing platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of regulatory financial reports for both the bank and its holding company.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of the organization in relation to long-term operational objectives, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for growth.
  • Establish annual financial goals that align with the strategic growth plans of the bank.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and budget forecasts.
  • Develop and manage the monthly operating budget as well as the annual budget for the bank.
  • Oversee all financial transactions related to the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Formulate and implement policies and best practices to achieve financial objectives and maintain compliance with applicable standards.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Conduct analysis and submissions for Call Reports.
  • Manage the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL) in accordance with CECL standards.
  • Oversee fixed asset management and cash management functions, including cash flow projections.
  • Administer the bank's business and insurance policies.
  • Analyze and enhance policies, procedures, and systems to ensure effective internal controls and operational efficiencies.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and support.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new finance staff.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and best practices, with a proven ability to offer sound financial advice to executive management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting and finance systems and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in a financial role within an organization is required.
