CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER

Job Overview

The Chief Operations Officer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the comprehensive performance of all organizational functions under their jurisdiction. This position is crucial for the execution of Company Policies and Procedures, Strategic Planning, and Quality Assurance Initiatives. The COO will also enhance financial outcomes through exceptional service delivery acknowledged by both external and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate operational performance and support requirements with Executive Management.
  • Analyze operational and branch staff alignment with BrightSpring's vision, mission, and values.
  • Lead all operations to optimize revenue and EBITDA.
  • Assess and implement corrective action plans to enhance financial performance for operations not meeting targets.
  • Contribute to the formulation of annual budgets and operational strategies.
  • Provide leadership support and resources to achieve established objectives.
  • Drive business growth and sales to meet or exceed targets.
  • Review sales strategies and collaborate with the Corporate Sales Team on implementation.
  • Identify and evaluate potential growth opportunities through service expansion.
  • Coordinate staff training on systems, standard processes, and company policies.
  • Offer leadership support to operations facing performance challenges or administrative gaps.
  • Establish and maintain relationships as a liaison between operations and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Assess processes and performance metrics.
  • Effectively manage the Core Team resources to support operations as needed.
  • Assist in implementing processes aimed at improving performance goals.
  • Provide support and supervision to operations with managerial vacancies.
  • Ensure each service site develops and executes a targeted recruitment and retention strategy in partnership with HR.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Business, or a related discipline; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience with a proven ability to manage operations, systems, processes, and personnel effectively.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience with a minimum of five direct reports.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with public speaking capabilities.
  • Experience in Home Care or a related healthcare sector is preferred.
  • Proficiency in technology and all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Federal, State, and local regulations relevant to the business area.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience working in an office environment with computers and related tasks.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% as necessary.
