Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our team at Meridian Behavioral Health. As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the admissions process, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verification of Funding: Verify client funding sources and ensure that all necessary documentation is in order.
  • Wait List Management: Monitor and manage the wait list, ensuring that clients are notified in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling and Admissions: Schedule evaluations and admissions, and arrange transportation as needed.
  • Paper Flow Management: Oversee the flow of paperwork to the Accounting department, ensuring that all necessary documents are completed and submitted.
  • Client Financial Responsibility: Determine client financial responsibility and monitor changes.
  • Data Entry: Perform necessary data entry to ensure accurate and up-to-date client information.
  • Daily Census Log: Maintain a daily census log to track client activity and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Staff In-Services and Meetings: Attend staff in-services and meetings to stay informed about program developments and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a chemical dependency facility and 2-3 years of related experience required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Must know and understand all rules, regulations, and requirements of the assigned program. A minimum of two-year freedom from chemical abuse problems is required. Possess a valid driver's license and be computer literate.
  • Certifications: CPR and first aid certified.
