We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at Gillette Children's. As a key member of our site-based team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients and families receive exceptional care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Check-In: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and families, obtaining and verifying demographic and financial information, and obtaining required signatures on consent and intake forms.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule appointments across all medical specialties and integrative care services in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring alignment with the patient's unique needs and care plan.
- Patient Experience: Connect patients and families with on-site amenities and assist with clinic navigation to provide an optimal patient experience.
- Patient Engagement: Promote and enroll patients and their caregivers in our appointment reminder system and MyGillette patient portal to increase engagement and communication.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced education preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in customer service, administrative, or healthcare setting required.
- Advanced Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong computer aptitude, including Microsoft Office; knowledge of medical terminology, commercial insurance carriers, and standard insurance forms; excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
