Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Territory Manager to join our Surety Underwriting team at Nationwide Private Client. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of surety business, developing and executing business plans, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis and Research: Monitor market conditions, gather information, and conduct research to identify new business opportunities and assess the risk of existing accounts.
  • Account Management: Analyze and evaluate complex accounts, make strategic decisions, and develop business plans to drive growth and profitability.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and negotiate agreements to drive revenue growth.
  • Underwriting and Risk Assessment: Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal surety business, ensuring that all variables are considered, including financial statements, credit reports, and underwriting documents.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze business performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans to drive growth and profitability.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with agencies, producers, and internal stakeholders to establish the company as the provider of choice for surety products and services.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressively responsible surety underwriting experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of surety products and services, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
