About the Role

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Senior Marketplace Director – Mid-Atlantic Region. This role is a critical part of our commercial team and will play a key role in driving business growth and success in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Commercial Strategy Development

Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy for the Mid-Atlantic Region, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

  1. Market Analysis and Insights

Conduct thorough market analysis and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions and drive growth in the region.

  1. Team Leadership and Development

Lead and develop a high-performing team of commercial professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

  1. Account Management and Engagement

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, payors, and other influencers, to drive business growth and success in the region.

  1. Demand Enablement and Generation

Oversee demand enablement and generation activities in the region, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient customer engagement and maximize business opportunities.

  1. Performance Management and Reporting

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business success in the region, providing regular reporting and insights to inform business decisions.

Requirements
  1. Advanced Degree and Experience

Advanced scientific degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD) and 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  1. Leadership Experience

5+ years of leadership experience in a commercial or business development role, with a proven track record of driving business growth and success.

  1. Business Acumen and Skills

Exceptional business acumen, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.

  1. Industry Knowledge and Expertise

Deep knowledge and expertise in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a strong understanding of market trends, regulatory requirements, and commercial best practices.
