Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Office Administrator and Legal/HR Affairs Manager to join our team at Kent County, MI. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in administration, legal affairs, and human resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain confidential documents and reports, including personnel, disciplinary, and investigative files.
  • Review and implement changes in County policies, state and federal statutes, and regulatory agency rules.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff and customers with complex service requests.
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare abstracts and summary reports, and compile data in usable formats.
  • Administer office operating budgets and prepare payroll in accordance with County guidelines.
  • Prepare and process payroll, personnel, financial, and other forms for the department.
  • Supervise departmental accounting and financial reporting functions and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher in Business, Public Administration, Management, Legal, Criminal Justice, Social Science, or Human Services.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in administration, including one year of supervision.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
