Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a category strategy for media, advertising, and other marketing expenditure sub-categories, while developing a procurement strategy that meets or surpasses expectations.
  • Oversee strategic sourcing initiatives, adhering to a comprehensive sourcing methodology. Prepare and implement bid packages utilizing RFIs, RFPs, reverse auctions, etc.
  • Explore innovative solutions to provide business advantages, challenging requirements and specifications to establish a competitive edge.
  • Continuously develop qualified and competitive sources of supply through thorough financial and market analysis.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key marketing stakeholders, managing engagement and alignment throughout the sourcing process.
  • Collaborate with regional sourcing managers to grasp regional business needs, market insights, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support savings tracking processes, assess contract compliance, and monitor key metrics to ensure targets are achieved and value is delivered.
  • Negotiate and manage the contract process effectively.
  • Assist stakeholders in managing supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance, and providing feedback.
  • Develop implementation and transition plans while supporting change management initiatives.
  • Utilize available sourcing tools and technologies for spend analysis, eProcurement, contract management, and strategic sourcing activities.
  • Provide assistance to the Senior Director of Procurement Marketing, Sales & Brand Support as required.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, finance, engineering, or a related field. An MBA or Master's degree is advantageous.

Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in sourcing and procurement, with a strong grasp of best practices and world-class processes.
  • Expertise in various Marketing & Sales expenditure categories, including Media, Creative, Research, and other services.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with corporate Marketing teams, including regular interaction with Marketing leadership.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial metrics; ability to identify and quantify legitimate areas of business benefit (cost savings, avoidance, client satisfaction, quality improvement, etc.).
  • Prior experience in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment.

Skills:

  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency, driven and motivated.
  • Ability to lead and influence change amidst complexity and ambiguity.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environment.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience in building should-cost models and familiarity with eProcurement and eSourcing tools (SAP, Ariba, etc.).
  • Thorough knowledge of internal sourcing/procurement procedures and processes, along with awareness of external trends, global supply markets, and best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities; capable of leading complex global projects and executing sourcing strategies.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
