Job Overview

Position Summary:

An experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist is sought to effectively diagnose and resolve issues related to diverse machinery and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to address and prevent recurring mechanical failures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute job tasks efficiently and within designated timelines.
  • Utilize a variety of workshop machinery including mills, lathes, and saws.
  • Engage in project management activities, including layout planning, installation, and equipment commissioning.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to procure necessary parts and materials.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various filling and assembly machinery, including conveyors and pumps.
  • Diagnose issues in electrical, control, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and emergencies.
  • Conduct visual inspections and perform diagnostic tests on machinery.
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics accurately.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks during operational hours or scheduled downtimes.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly.
  • Oversee equipment operations during maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

Additional Duties:

  • Report any obstacles that hinder task completion to the supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively within a team with minimal oversight.
  • Implement modifications to equipment to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide maintenance guidance and instructions as necessary.
  • Continuously seek and suggest enhancements to equipment and systems.
  • Flexibility to work in various areas of the facility as required.
  • Participate in training sessions as needed.
  • Utilize root cause analysis techniques to eliminate persistent issues.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or a two-year technical degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Electrical Maintenance, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting.
  • Alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment may be considered.
  • Proficient understanding of filling and assembly machinery and systems.
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate power tools and hand tools.
  • Experience with a wide range of industrial equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
  • Experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment setup is essential.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet research.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are crucial.
  • Capability to build effective relationships across departments.
  • Willingness to take initiative and demonstrate reliability.
  • Flexibility to work over 40 hours per week as needed.
  • Ability to interpret schematic drawings and PLC control programs.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and manipulate loads up to 500 lbs.
  • Must meet vision and hearing requirements.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Must possess personal hand tools as required.
