Position Overview:

Wells Fargo is looking for several Lead Fiduciary Advisors to join the Trust Account Opening and Maintenance team within Wealth and Investment Management Operations. This team plays a crucial role in facilitating the account opening process for Wells Fargo trust accounts and acts as a key resource for trust officers, financial advisors, and clients. Additionally, the team is tasked with ongoing asset management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing comprehensive reporting.

The Lead Fiduciary Advisors will handle requests from the onboarding team to establish new accounts, ensuring the firm’s trust and agency account administration while delivering exceptional trust services to advisors and clients. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business partners on investment management matters
  • Examine and establish agency, custody, IRA, and trust accounts to guarantee adherence to internal company policies and governmental regulations
  • Identify and investigate issues across different jurisdictions
  • Analyze complex business trust asset portfolios, addressing challenges that require thorough evaluation of various factors
  • Review probate and trust estates following the passing of a Wells Fargo client
  • Manage the intricate needs of estates and trusts during the settlement process
  • Resolve moderately complex trust asset portfolio challenges and guide the Fiduciary team to fulfill service obligations
  • Ensure that the probate estate or trust account is administered in accordance with the governing documents, bank policies, and applicable laws
  • Engage and consult with colleagues and management to address issues and achieve objectives
Essential Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in Fiduciary Products or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in Trust or Brokerage
  • 2+ years of experience in new account opening or onboarding
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Strong capability to assess stakeholder needs while consulting, creating solutions, and developing processes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment
  • Willingness to work on-site as required
