Position Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer will lead all aspects of financial management for ANSER, ensuring the company's financial performance and success. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive profitable growth while maintaining the company's values and commitments to delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial management framework to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain sound financial systems, processes, and controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions and ensure timely billing and payment processing.
  • Provide financial insights and analytics to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement business growth strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all external reporting obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong financial management function with a focus on data-driven planning, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to business units and teams to ensure financial performance and compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial management and accounting.

Desired Background:

The ideal candidate will have at least 20 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a strong background in government contracting and public sector finance. The candidate should have a proven track record of driving business growth and profitability, as well as experience in developing and implementing financial management frameworks and systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline and twenty (20) or more years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • US Citizenship, Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person required. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information.
  • Proficient skills in Government Accounting Software and Platforms – QuickBooks, MS Office, and especially Excel.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP.
  • Government Contractor, FAR Cost Principles, and CAS experience.
  • DFARS Business Systems audit experience.
  • Experience with Unanet ERP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as appropriate to the task or project.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio) and Microsoft Teams.
