About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist III to support multiple West Region Business Lines. This will be a hybrid position including a combination of both remote and in-office work. The location of this position is flexible, but qualified candidates will need to be willing to potentially work Central standard time, Mountain time, and Pacific standard time hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development:
    • Follow and enforce procurement-related policies and procedures.
    • Develop an intermediate understanding of subcontracting terminology, measures, concepts, principles, and strategies.
    • Foster relationships internally with stakeholders and externally with suppliers and other groups.
    • Present the subcontracting and procurement process to stakeholders in an effective manner.
    • Challenge the business when projects depart from basic procurement principles.
    • Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, solve problems, and make efficient and effective supply management decisions.
  • Technical:
    • Perform subcontracting and procurement functions.
    • Develop an understanding of procurement systems and tools.
    • Prepare and solicit Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for all services and goods.
    • Prepare and execute purchase orders and agreements.
    • Work on several projects simultaneously with the ability to prioritize to ensure all deadlines are met and maximize impact and results.
    • Communicate effectively with internal clients regarding subcontract progress and accomplishments.
    • Negotiate deviations from company Terms & Conditions and minimum insurance requirements needed for various Scopes of Work.
    • Maintain subcontract and procurement documentation.
    • Contact subcontractors for timely submittal of proposals, and clarifications, and signed contractual Agreements.
    • Tabulate and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
    • Achieve savings targets relative to management-established benchmarks by managing workload in accordance with business objectives and internal client priorities.
    • Review invoices and resolve discrepancies.
    • Assist in the evaluation of disputes with suppliers.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Certificates of Insurance as well as different policy types and limits. AECOM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
